What's Growing on Hen and Drake Farm - Week 33

We've begun to put up our winter supply of wood (our main source of heat). The woodshed will hold about 12 cords and we have about one stacked. Thankfully, we only go through about 2 cords a year, so the seasoned wood we have left to split will get us to the 2 cords. We are also getting approximately 100 feet of green logs delivered for next years supply.

Here is the garden this week

I'm starting to pick tomatoes daily, though the bulk of the harvest is still a week or two away.

The Shiro plums are ripe. I've been picking a few each day to enjoy as snacks

My sweet potatoes are blooming

I'm digging up some big volunteer Red Pontiacs

Alpine strawberries and blueberries

A quad of crooknecks and a couple of busy bees

Weekly harvest total:

7 pounds 7 ounce plums
5 ounces green beans

3 pounds 11 ounces tomatillos
7 ounces peaches
