What's Growing on Hen and Drake Farm - Week 7
I did lots of transplanting this week. Peppers, lettuce, eggplant, celery, alpine strawberries, cabbage and kale went from seedling mix into potting mix.
I am fast running out of surface space in the greenhouse but the flat of onions and leeks will be planted early next week so that will give me room to start more seeds.

There are chives popping up in the potted herb garden.
Volunteer parsley and thyme are invading the containers around them. I'll be transplanting the parsley to the garden (we'll need lots for quinoa tabouli) and removing the thyme with extreme prejudice.

Our three Cuckoo Maran chicks are growing fast, as they are wont to do, and are developing tiny tail feathers and big personalities.
The boys are still thinking of names for them, though my oldest suggested 'Breakfast', 'Lunch' and 'Dinner '!
