What's Growing on Hen and Drake Farm - Week 26
We are half way through the year and though there were some challenges at the beginning, with the coldest winter in 32 years and wettest in 122 😲, we are only about a week behind typical harvest times. Overall, I am pleased with the progress of the garden and it looks like I will have a better season than last year
Here is the garden this week
Tomatillos are setting fruit
Maggie had taken to lying in the chive container to get a better view of the back yard
Lady Godiva squash
A trio of summer squash. Top to bottom are Yellow Crookneck, Black and Golden
I have peppers! This is Gypsy
Poppy seed heads
Millionaire eggplant
Copra onions
My jasmine is just starting to bloom
The ducklings are about 10 days old now and love splashing in the water and nibbling anything they can get their bills on
