Gardening in September

September is when I get in the bulk of my harvests. I'll be preserving most of the tomatoes as pasta sauce, freezing peppers, drying beans and curing and stringing onions. Depending on weather, I may dig the potatoes towards the end of the month. 

I will likely plant more carrots as well this month as we use quite a few during the winter months and our temperatures are mild enough that they can stay in the ground all winter
