DIY Heat Pad
Last week I threw out my neck and even though I went to the chiropractor, my muscles were still sore, so I used my homemade heat pad to relieve the pain. This heat pad is inexpensive, easy to make and holds its heat longer than a water bottle.
Sew up the end of the sock with a double stitch. I used a pre-set pattern on my sewing machine.
Ingredients:
1 large sock
Canning funnel
Glass measuring cup
Rice
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Place funnel in sock
Fill sock with 4-6 cups of rice making sure you can wrap filled sock around your hand
Sew up the end of the sock with a double stitch. I used a pre-set pattern on my sewing machine.
When you want to use your heat pad place in your microwave and heat for 3-5 minutes on high (for 1000 watts).
