Gardening in June
June means the start of summer harvests in my area. Beans, summer squash, new potatoes, basil and strawberries start to come in, and, if weather cooperates, the very first tomatoes, raspberries and cherries are ripe by the end of the month
What to Plant in June:
Continue to plant annual herbs such as basil, cilantro and dill. If you live in a cool summer climate you can still plant arugula, carrots, radishes and peas.
Mostly I just enjoy the June garden. Spending an hour in the early morning or evening, walking around pulling weeds and talking to my plants, is mind soothing.
